After having Tuesday night’s game in New York postponed, the Orlando Magic will take the court for the first time since Friday night’s loss in Miami when they play host to the Minnesota Timberwolves Wednesday night.
The Magic enter the game with a record of 1-1 while the heavily criticized Timberwolves enter with a record of 1-3. While the Magic have had plenty of rest lately, the Timberwolves had to play Tuesday night in Miami and were destroyed by the Heat 129-97.
The game will be shown locally on FSN Florida. As always, if you can’t watch the game, you can listen on the radio – in English on AM 580 WDBO and in Spanish on AM 1270 WRLZ.
Tip off is scheduled for 7:00 pm EST.
Starters:
Minnesota Timberwolves
Darko Milicic
Kevin Love
Wesley Johnson
Corey Brewer
Luke Ridnour
Orlando Magic
Dwight Howard
Ryan Anderson
Rashard Lewis
Vince Carter
Jameer Nelson
Opponent to Watch : Kevin Love, PF – Love is one of the league’s elite rebounders and his lack of playing time thus far in his career has baffled many in the NBA circle. Love has started every game so far this season and has taken advantage and despite struggled from the field in his first three games (13-of-38), he is going for 15.5 points and 11.3 rebounds per game. Love had 20 points on 7-of-11 shooting Tuesday night against the Heat.
What To Watch For: How the Magic respond following a blowout loss in Miami and a rather lengthy layoff.
To put Love’s rebounding in perspective, Dwight Howard has a career rebounding rate of 20.7% while Love’s career percentage is 21.2%.
The officials for Wednesday night’s game will be Bill Kennedy, John Goble and Eric Lewis
