After an extremely disappointing and perhaps telling loss, the Orlando Magic will have to quickly rebound when they take on the New Jersey Nets Saturday night. These two teams met on Novemeber 5th and the Magic came away with a 105-90 victory. The Nets enter the game with a record of 3-5 and are coming off a victory over the Cleveland Cavaliers Wednesday night while the Magic have fallen to 5-3 after dropping two straight games.

The game will be shown locally by Sun Sports. As always, if you can’t watch the game, you can listen on the radio – in English on AM 580 WDBO and in Spanish on AM 1270 WRLZ.

Tip-off from the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey is scheduled for 7:00 pm EST.

The Line: Orlando – 7

Starters:

New Jersey Nets

Brook Lopez
Troy Murphy
Travis Outlaw
Anthony Morrow
Devin Harris

Orlando Magic

Dwight Howard
Rashard Lewis
Quentin Richardson
Vince Carter
Jameer Nelson

The officials will be Bill Kennedy, Kane Fitzgerald and Zach Zarba.

Opponent To Watch: Travis Outlaw, F – In most cases, you’d see Center Brook Lopez’s name here but Dwight Howard has absolutely owned Lopez throughout his career, which included Lopez’s 10-point outing on 3-of-17 shooting just 8 days ago. Instead, we’ll highlight Outlaw, who scored 17 points on 7-of-8 shooting against the Magic. Outlaw’s been extremely inconsistent. Just look at the Nets’ last two games, both against the Cavaliers. Tuesday, Outlaw dropped 27 points while Wednesday, he finished with just 5 points.

What To Watch For: How the Magic come out of the gate. The Magic have been getting off to very poor starts this season and it’s come back to haunt them a couple of times. I’d expect to see the Magic put most of their focus on defense after playing two terrible defensive games in a row (excluding the first half against Utah). They make sacrifice offense to get the job done, but they need to refocus and put an emphasis on defense.
