Dwight Howard Update: Most Don’t Expect Howard To Be Traded

Derick E. Hingle-US PRESSWIRE

Our buddy Alex Kennedy of Hoops World continues to hear the Magic won’t trade Dwight Howard:

Sources in Orlando continue to say that the Magic likely won’t trade Dwight Howard before the deadline. Ownership isn’t ready to move him.

Kennedy’s fellow Hoops World scribe Bill Ingram backed up that report:

In addition to @AlexKennedyNBA’s report, sources close to Dwight’s business side also say they don’t think he’s going anywhere this week.

Our friend Steve Kyler, also of Hoops World, says there is no chance of Howard being traded to the Bulls:

More than one source suggested that Magic president Otis Smith and Magic head coach Stan Van Gundy were simply ready for this circus to be over and could be on the side of making a deal simply to get this over with.

Those same sources said Magic CEO Alex Martins and ownership are unwaveringly opposed to making a deal involving Howard, and the final decision will come from them.

As the trade deadline inches closer Otis Smith joked in passing last night that there would be closure one way or the other on Thursday.
