Stan Van Gundy Says Dwight Howard Asked Management To Fire Him

On Thursday, Stan Van Gundy confirmed that Magic management told him Dwight Howard ask management to fire Van Gundy per Josh Robbins:

SVG says D12 has asked management to fire him.

Both management and Dwight Howard have denied this rumor over the last 24 hours. Howard immediately denied the rumor. In fact, Ian O’Connor of ESPN says Howard came in and hugged Van Gundy.

Source close to Van Gundy: “I think Stan’s been tired of having to talk around it when asked about it…tired of going along with a lie.”
