Dwight Howard “Livid,” Parties Agree To Wait Until The Season Ends To Discuss The Situation

Douglas Jones-US PRESSWIRE

Per our buddy Alex Kennedy, Dwight Howard was “livid” with Head Coach Stan Van Gundy after Van Gundy confirmed Howard asked management to fire him:

Source close to Dwight Howard described the center as “livid” that Stan Van Gundy aired dirty laundry and gave credence to rumors.

It’s no surprise Howard is angry, but can anyone really blame Van Gundy for being fed up with this whole situation?

HtD’s own Brian Serra, who also runs Magic Basketball Online, reported Howard, Van Gundy and Otis Smith decided not to talk about the situation until the conclusion of the season:

A source with close knowledge of the conversation told me tonight that all involved came to a mutual understanding that all comments regarding the relationship would be deferred until after the season.

Van Gundy confirmed the he, Howard and Smith met on Thursday.
