Per Josh Robbins of the Orlando Sentinel, Dwight Howard is out of Monday night’s game against the Detroit Pistons and is listed as questionable for Tuesday night’s contest with the Washington Wizards:
No Dwight Howard (back) tonight, SVG said.
SVG said Dwight is in pain because of his back spasms but does not have structural damage to his spine.
Update: Robbins now has a full story here.
SVG said that D12 “paid a personal price” by playing through back pain on Sat. Injury is a soft tissue one and nothing structurally wrong.
Glen Davis will again start in Howard’s place. This will be Davis’s fifth consecutive start. He’s averaged 21.8 points and 11.1 rebounds per game in those four starts.
