Back on April 5, Magic forward Hedo Turkoglu was the victim of an inadvertent elbow to the face from New York Knicks forward Carmelo Anthony.
“I’m just trying to get myself into good shape, as much as I can, and hopefully I’ll be able to come back and be ready to play,” Turkoglu told Josh Robbins of the Orlando Sentinel. “I don’t know how ready I will be, but I’m pushing myself to be ready as much as I can. And if I get the opportunity, I will try to go out there and do my best that I can and help the team.”
Turkoglu took shots and ran sprints before Orlando’s game against the Utah Jazz Saturday night and is hopeful he can return by the postseason, but head coach Stan Van Gundy doesn’t sound confident.
