Magic To Open The Playoffs Saturday

Derick E. Hingle-US PRESSWIRE

On Thursday the NBA announced the Orlando Magic would take on the Indiana Pacers in game one of their first round series on Saturday. The times for the first round have not been set, but a noon start has been speculated.

Sources also believed the series would be Saturday-Monday-Wednesday-Saturday.

Magic Head Coach Stan Van Gundy and the organization anticipated a Saturday start – they’ll head straight to Indiana after wrapping up the season Thursday in Memphis – but hoped for a Sunday game. Brian Schmitz of the Orlando Sentinel outlined the reasons here.
