George Diaz caught up with Magic Head Coach Stan Van Gundy at Saturday’s game between the Atlanta Braves and Tampa Bay Rays. Van Gundy has expressed his love for baseball and has discussed his friendship with former Braves Manager Bobby Cox and current Braves Manager Fredi Gonzalez.
Van Gundy is currently in limbo. We know that Dwight Howard has asked for Van Gundy to be fired in the past (although Howard recently said they have “forgiven each other”). Many also believe Howard still wants out of Orlando, which is probably why the Magic haven’t made a move with Van Gundy yet.
Diaz got a chance to ask Van Gundy about his job.
“I’m not too worried about it,” Van Gundy said. “This is a slow time of year anyway.”
