Per Alex Kennedy of Hoops World, Dwight Howard’s departure “seems inevitable.”
Kennedy reports “no longer wants to be in Orlando and he won’t give the franchise the long-term commitment they’re seeking this summer.”
Brooklyn remains his preferred destination, but it seems as though, the Houston Rockets have the most ammunition. They’ve been trying to get at least one, possibly two lottery picks in attempt to attain Howard. They have the cap friendly contract of Kyle Lowry and the expiring contract of an unhappy Kevin Martin.
Kennedy notes new general manager Rob Hennigan “wants to salvage the relationship,” but things don’t seem repairable.
