On Wednesday afternoon, Alex Kennedy of Real GM reported the Magic had informed Dwight Howard they were suspending trade talks until their coaching situation was resolved.
When general manager Rob Hennigan was asked about trade talks being suspended, he denied the report, saying “That’s not accurate.” Hennigan admitted he spoke with Howard earlier and say the conversation was “positive.” Kennedy reports Hennigan spoke with Howard on the phone and told him “Sorry, we tried” in reference to their multiple attempts to trade the superstar.
Hennigan did, however, admit the Magic and Nets didn’t have a whole lot else to talk about between the two teams at the moment.
