Jeff Hornacek Is Not A Finalist

According to Steve Luhm of the Salt Lake Tribune, current Jazz assistant coach Jeff Hornacek “has been told he will not be the new head coach at Orlando. More to come.”

Hornacek told Luhm “It was good to go through the process and talk to them. … I guess I wasn’t what they were looking for.” Hornacek said he did not know who the Magic would hire.

After Sunday’s news that Pacers assistant Brian Shaw and Warriors assistant Michael Malone were out of the running, that leaves former Pistons head coach Michael Curry, Spurs assistant Jacque Vaughn and Bulls player development coach Lindsey Hunter as candidates.
