Magic center Dwight Howard cancelled his appearance at his camp in Orlando.
An e-mail was sent to the parents of campers to explain Howard would remain in California while rehabbing his back.
Rookie forward Andrew Nicholson will take Howard’s place.
According to Josh Robbins, a Pro Camps official (Pro Camps runs the camp) said campers will receive a Howard autograph, a ticket to a Magic home game and a gift bag from adidas, which sponsors Howard. But the official also said registrants can receive refunds if they decide not to attend because of Howard’s absence.
