The Orlando Magic Add To Their Staff

Orlando Magic general manager Rob Hennigan and head coach Jacque Vaughn have made some additions to their staffs.

According to Graham Coach of MLive.com, Eastern Michigan head coach Rob Murphy is leaving the program to take a job with the Magic. Murphy was 14-18 in one season with the Eagles.

David Baumann of ESPN Florida has another scoop. Baumann, citing a source, says Houston Rockets assistant coach Brett Gunning is joining Vaughn’s staff. Gunning, who spent four years with the Rockets, started as a player development coach (do you see a trend?). Gunning was previously an assistant coach under Jay Wright at both Providence and Villanova.

The Magic plan to wait until a full staff is hired to make an announcement.
