The Orlando Magic’s blueprint is beginning to unfurl, but it’s difficult to tell whether it is entirely circumstance driven or if GM Rob Hennigan may not have it all figured out already. The team will be far under the cap in 2015 and 2016, and there’s an alluring crop of free agents in both summers that could plug into the lineup and take the team from being a decent young team to a legitimate contender.

Among the top players available in 2015 are Rajon Rondo, Kevin Love and LaMarcus Aldridge. With the notice that the Magic are seriously considering taking Marcus Smart in the 2014 draft, that would make the likelihood of signing Rondo slim.  But it is in 2016 that the Magic could really make a splash, when both Kevin Durant and LeBron James become free agents.
