Trade JJ Redick to Milwaukee Bucks for Tobias Harris and Doron Lamb: A

There was more to this trade, including Beno Udrih coming to the Magic, and Gustavo Ayon going to the Bucks, but the main players were Redick and Harris. Milwaukee Bucks fans give this trade an F, which really tells you all you need to know. This was a classic case of trading nothing for something. Redick is a good player, but he was an impending free agent who didn’t fit in Orlando’s long-term plans. Milwaukee acquired him for an ill advised playoff push and flipped him in a sign and trade this summer.

It could have been no harm no foul, but after being buried on the Buck’s bench, Harris bloomed into a Carmelo Anthony clone in Orlando. Now Anthony is a flawed player, but if Harris can learn to be more efficient on offense, he can become a special player. Doron Lamb is still an unknown, but no matter what he eventually gives the Magic, this trade will be counted as a win.
