Orlando Magic rookie guard Victor Oladipo has made it known that he would like to participate in the 2014 Sprite Slam Dunk Contest.
Oladipo has been one of the few bright spots for the Magic, averaging 13.9 points per game. His athleticism and constant energy makes him an outstanding defensive player as well as an offensive catalyst in transition. That athleticism also leads to some truly impressive dunks.
Oladipo will already be participating in The Rising Stars Challenge during All-Star weekend. However, Oladipo also wants to participate in the dunk contest.
#Magic G Victor Oladipo confirmed that if he’s asked to participate in the Sprite Slam Dunk Contest that he will take part in the event.

Rookies have participated in the Slam Dunk Contest before. In fact, in the 2013 slam dunk contest, Toronto Raptors rookie Terrance Ross won the Slam Dunk contest. Ross will be defending his Slam Dunk title this year and even he wants to compete against Oladipo.

Oladipo is without a doubt the best athlete and probably best overall player from the 2013 draft class. The fact that a rookie won the dunk contest last season, could improve Victor Oladipo’s chances in participating in the event.
