Victor Oladipo knows no mercy. He is a highlight threat every time he steps out on the court, but no one earns his wrath more than the Portland Trailblazers.
During last nights rare victory of the Trailblazers, Oladipo took Mo Williams to school with a wicked crossover before bowling over Robin Lopez for the lay-in.
That’s one of the more embarrassing broken ankles of the season, but pales in comparison to the demolition job that Oladipo did to this dunk attempt by Damian Lillard earlier in the year.
Unfortuntely, those highlights are marred by Oladipo’s continued struggles shooting the basketball. He went 5-16 from the field against Portalnd. For the month of March he’s only hitting 40.5% of his shots, below his already dreary season average.
Despite his poor shooting, Oladipo is making a hard charge for the rookie of the year nod over Michael Carter-Williams and his slumping Philadelphia 76ers. Oladipo fills the stat sheet and effects the game in multiple areas.
His defense is effective if a bit volatile and he made up for his shooting by grabbing 5 rebounds and dishing out 6 assists. The rest of this season should be an exercise in improving his shooting and turnovers.
