With the NBA Draft quickly approaching, the Orlando Magic continue to do their due diligence. After hosting five for workouts following the Memorial Day weekend, the Magic reportedly have plans to work out another group of five.
Yahoo! Sports scribe Marc J. Spears reported the Magic have plans to work out five more of the top prospects in advance of the June 26th draft.
According to Spears, the Magic plan to host point guard Dante Exum, power forwards Aaron Gordon, Julius Randle and Noah Vonleh, and combo guard Marcus Smart, over the next few weeks. Over the weekend, ESPN insider Jeff Goodman reported the Magic had planned to work out Vonleh on June 9th, and had asked for a second visit from Smart as well.
With the fourth and 12th picks in the draft, the Magic are in a position to make a big splash. After selecting Victor Oladipo second overall last season, it would appear as though Orlando is going to be looking for a point guard to slot in next to their current prized possession. All of these players could be in play with the fourth pick, but unfortunately for the Magic, it’s highly unlikely any will still be on the board when their second pick comes up.
