Orlando Magic, Erie BayHawks to host tryouts

Ever wanted to try out for a professional basketball team? Still wanting to live out your childhood dream? Well, the Orlando Magic and their NBA Developmental League affiliate, the Erie BayHawks, are giving you that opportunity! Information on the two tryouts — one in Orlando and one in Erie — can be found below.

The Erie BayHawks, in partnership with the Orlando Magic, have scheduled their free agent tryouts for September 14 in Orlando at Barnett Park, and September 21 in Erie at Penn State-Behrend’s Junker Center. Interested participants are required to complete the registration forms that can be found on ErieBayHawks.com or at the BayHawks front office.

Forms must be submitted by September 8 with a money order or cashier’s check payable to the Erie BayHawks. The registration fee is $150 and pre-registration is recommended as space is limited. Both locations are one-day tryouts and participants will be evaluated by Orlando Magic personnel. Registration begins at 8:30 AM, with the official start time at 9:00 AM. Contact the BayHawks for more information at 814-790-5600.
