Manchester United's 1st Summer Signing Is £30.7million Defender Victor Lindelof

13 June 2017

BENFICA have wished Manchester United-bound Victor Lindelof "all the best".

However, the Red Devils are yet to agree personal terms with the centre-back, while the move is also subject to global clearance and a medical.

It is also understood that Real Madrid striker Alvaro Morata is among those United are keen on.

Manchester United announced on Saturday that they had agreed a deal with Benfica to sign the Swedish defender as Jose Mourinho bolstered his defensive options at Old Trafford.

"You can not deny his qualities", he told the Sun.

"The major thing is his quality is undoubted and he has his feet on the ground", he said.

And midfielder Larsson feels that Lindelof has a very bright future ahead of him.

Wilkins, who played for Manchester United, AC Milan and Chelsea during an illustrious playing career, expressed his disgust in a scathing rant whilst appearing on Sky Sport's Transfer Centre, arguing that the Red Devils should have brought Michael Keane back to the club instead. "And as long as people give him a bit of time to adjust, he will ultimately succeed at United". "No-one gets anything cheap from Europe because it's the Premier League".

"He's an important player for us in the Sweden team now and that shows maturity".

Lindelof, 22, joined Benfica from home-town club Vasteras SK in 2012 and has won three Portuguese league titles and two Portuguese Cups during his time in Lisbon.
