Super Mario Odyssey Lets You Play As A Dinosaur

14 June 2017

A new Metroid game is coming! It looks like a return to Mario games like Super Mario 64 and Super Mario Sunshine, with a completely free-reign exploratory feel. It's been given a nickname, Cappy, and can be used to transform Mario into multiple enemies, characters, and objects.

Super Mario Odyssey leaps onto the Nintendo Switch October 27. As cool as it may sound, we would rather have a new game altogether. Metroid: Samus Returns will be available on the 3DS on September 15.

Assuaging many fans' speculative anxiety, Nintendo dropped a big shell when it announced that Metroid 4, the long-gestating next entry in the fan-favorite Metroid series, was in development. We have no idea what to expect yet, though, as nothing was shown besides a logo.

The forthcoming Sonic title is being developed by the same team that developed Sonic Colors and Sonic Generations.

Rocket League: Soccer and cars meet again for Nintendo Switch! The upcoming RPG hits the Switch this holiday season. While we are likely more than a year out from its eventual release, it's still good news for Pokémon fans. A few days ago, developer Psyonix showed it's interest in expanding the eSport universe of Rocket League to the Switch. "Exclusive Battle-Cars and Customization items will also be available, including Mario and Luigi hat toppers to decorate your vehicle, with additional details to be announced later this year".

Xenoblade Chronicles 2's release date has been confirmed.

Kirby - The Switch is getting its own Kirby game! Players will travel to the land of Elysium with a new group of heroes. Even if the game does eventually turn out to be a Sun and Moon copy, anticipation for the release will still be very high, such is the desire for a console-based Pokemon RPG. The Four champions appearing in The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild will be available as Amiibos. Nintendo took the excuse to show off the first footage of the Cave of Trials content from this month's DLC, which looks to feature revamped puzzles in addition to combat challenges.
