Kellyanne Conway 'Makes My Teeth Hurt — MSNBC Host

Within days of that first statement, as more details about the meeting became public, Trump Jr. posted emails on Twitter that showed he took the meeting in hopes of gaining damaging information on Hillary Clinton that would be provided as part of the Russian government's support for his father.

"About telling the truth", the ABC host interjected.

Stephanopoulos let Conway know that was not what he was asking, but she continued along the same line of saying that this is something that has not been discussed by Trump.

Ms Conway ended the interview by calling the FBI investigation into alleged ties and collusion between the Trump campaign team and Russian Federation "fabricated" but offered no evidence for her reasoning. The president has called it a fiction, a total fabrication to excuse the colossal and unexpected, unwanted defeat of Hillary Clinton.

Sen. Thom Tillis, North Carolina Republican, defended the bill as a way of ensuring the special counsel's independence, while Ms. Conway insisted that President Trump "has not even discussed" firing special counsel Robert Mueller. How do you explain that, can the president and his team get control of that, and be open and truthful about the Russian Federation investigation? So her admission on Sunday that Trump's approval rating needed improvement was an unusual deviation for the president's counselor.

And she made a petulant reference to President Barack Obama's statement in 2010 that people would be able to keep seeing their doctor if health care reform passed.

Conway's dismissal of the firing speculation echoes Trump's attorney Jay Sekulow, who told Fox News on Thursday that "the president is not thinking about firing Bob Mueller, so the speculation that's out there is just incorrect". "Benghazi happened because of a video". "The NYPD is the most expert police force on earth in terms of handling visits by an American president", de Blasio told reporters during a press conference in which he pushed a millionaire's tax to improve the subways.

And yet Conway reviewed the investigation, said no conclusion was proved so far and complained that "we were promised Watergate".

Mueller led the Federal Bureau of Investigation through the September 11 terrorist attacks and served under presidential administrations of both parties. "They spend more time on TV than they do interviewing witnesses", Conway complained. If there really was nothing to see here, as Trump claims, Mueller's team won't need to keep digging.
