Taylor Swift says DJ subjected her to long, 'horrifying' grope

Taylor Swift testified Thursday that a former radio DJ reached under her skirt and intentionally grabbed her backside during a meet-and-a-greet photo session before a 2013 concert in Denver. He is suing Swift as a result and is looking for up to $3 million in damages.

When Mueller's attorney suggested Swift could have taken a break from the meet-and-greet if she had been so traumatized, Swift reportedly shot back, "And your client could have taken a normal photo with me", adding that she didn't want to ruin her fans' experience. "That guy", she said, pointing to Mueller. During her testimony, Mueller's attorney questioned why she didn't take some time to herself immediately after.

The lawsuit was brought by former 98.5 KYGO deejay David Mueller, who was sacked two days after the alleged incident in which he's accused of groping Swift's bare bottom during the photo opportunity. "If you look at that photo, his hand is not underneath her skirt".

Swift repeatedly said no one else could have groped her.

"Gabe [McFarland, defense attorney], this is a photo of him with his hand up my skirt-with his hand on my ass", Swift snapped back. "I have experienced every degree of an awkward first encounter. you think it's a high-five and they think it's a handshake, and they say, "Oh, sorry" and you say, 'Oh, it's fine'".

Speaking about her emotions after the incident, Swift likened it to her personality being turned off. Below, some of Swift's most defiant, forthright quotes.

Swift spent an hour on the witness stand on Thursday and said it appeared both Mueller and his girlfriend, who stood on the other side of her for the photo, had "had a few cocktails". She stressed that he physically and deliberately groped her under her clothing.

"I don't have any feelings about a person I don't know", she said.

Mueller denies the claim, and says the accusations led to him being fired. Swift then countersued for assault and battery, asking for symbolic damages of $1.

Swift, who has 85 million followers on Twitter and 102 million followers on Instagram, earned $170 million in the year to June 2016 following a world tour and her best-selling "1989" album, according to Forbes Magazine.

She held her hand up to demonstrate Mueller's hand allegedly grabbing onto her butt, and was very animated in explaining why Dent didn't see Mueller's hand allegedly touching her inappropriately.

He and others at the station conducted their own investigation, which included the "damning" photograph of Swift and Mueller, Frank Bell's description of the alleged groping, and an interview with Mueller.

Swift maintains he sexually assaulted her by lifting her skirt and fondling her buttocks.

On Wednesday, Andrea Swift delivered dramatic testimony as she described learning about the alleged groping of her daughter.
