Pittsburgh Steelers vs. Cleveland Browns Odds, Analysis, NFL Betting Pick

Rookie defensive end Myles Garrett has a high right ankle sprain and will not play against the Steelers in the season opener September 10, the Browns reported in an update on September 7. That record afforded Cleveland the top pick in April's National Football League draft-they chose defensive end Myles Garrett from Texas A&M with that pick. He will miss at least two weeks and be re-evaluated.

Cornerback Joe Haden, who was cut by the Browns last week and quickly signed with the Steelers, talked on a conference call before the injury news. He suffered a left foot injury in minicamp with the Browns in June and had to wear a walking boot. He reported healthy for training camp in July. He also was hindered in his final season at Texas A&M with an ankle injury but to the other foot than the one injured in Wednesday's practice.

"Some teams are building for the future, we are building for right now", Roethlisberger said Tuesday on his weekly appearance on 93.7 The Fan.

The Steelers opened as 8.5-point favorites; the total was 47 early in the week, according to sportsbooks monitored by OddsShark.

If Garrett can't play Sunday and misses significant time, it would be a huge blow to the defense and the organization. The All-Pro RB skipped the preseason, but has returned to the team just in time for the games to count.

In the late 1960s the Dallas Cowboys rose up as Cleveland's biggest rival, as Dallas beat the Browns for the division title in 1966 and again in the playoffs in 1967.

Myles Garrett's vow to take down Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger might have hit a snag. I know they're always up for the challenge. Multi-talented Bell averaged 157 yards from scrimmage per game in 2016 and became first player in history to average more than 100 yards rushing, 50 receiving in single season. It's just unfortunate it happened to a guy who we wish was out there all of the time.

The Steelers won 24-10 and would finish the regular season with a 15-1 record.

"The excitement, the attention to detail, sense of urgency, all those things are turned up a little bit", he said.

There is the part of me that hopes the Browns go 0-16 every season and lose every single game 72-0.

"It feels good that coach has confidence in me to go out there and make some plays", Hogan said. "As long as I do that the coaches, the play, everything is going to go along wth it". Like Roethlisberger, Kizer, a second-round pick from Notre Dame, grew up in NW Ohio and is familiar with heated Steelers-Browns rivalry, calling it "as blue collar as it gets.".
