Winter is Here, Steam Winter Sale is Live

The Steam Winter Sale will be open for two weeks, until January 4, 1 p.m. EDT.

In addition, some of the winners of the Video Game Awards 2017 are also on sale for PC, so now is the flawless time to catch up on the best that 2017 had to offer.

Valve launched its annual Steam Winter Sale today, kicking off two weeks of discounts to give shoppers some last-minute holiday gift opportunities. The Steam Link can be yours for $4.99, a 90% discount, while the Steam Controller and Link bundle is available for $34.63. But you won't find the usual Game of the Year awards here. The gaming platform is reportedly offering a huge 75 percent for the popular action RPG, which means that fans could now purchase the base game for just $14.99.

As mentioned earlier by PC Gamer, Steam Link is on sale again. Other award-winning (or award-worthy) games to check out during the sale including Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice, Assassin's Creed Origins, SteamWorld Dig 2,Preyand Cuphead. The Steam Controller Wireless Receiver is regular price now ($12.99), but the Steam Controller Battery Door is 50-percent off at $4.99 Dollars.

"Games are about agency, and this award is for the game that has it in spades", Valve explained. Each vote will earn individuals a Steam trading card, regardless of their vote, and when the complete card set is collected, they can be used to craft event-exclusive Steam emotes, badges, and profile background. Some of the nominees include: "The Walking Dead: A New Frontier", "Life is Stranger: Before the Storm", "The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt", "Divinity: Original Sin 2", and Arkane Studios' "Dishonored 2".
