As Dushku tells it, she wrote the status after believing that Kramer had been "found out", as she put it, and left the industry - but according to IMDb, he's been working steadily for quite some time - and just recently did work on Blade Runner 2049. Less that 24 hours later, True Lies director James Cameron took the stage at the Television Critics Association Winter Press Tour to promote his new AMC series James Cameron's Story of Science Fiction. The accusations of sexual assault come almost 24 years after the July 1994 release of the James Cameron-directed blockbuster, which gave Dushku her big break as a child actress.

Clearly Cameron felt troubled on a personal level by Eliza's testimony, despite the hope that things are set to change in all industries. I think we all collectively, just as a human race, have to do that. I'm glad Eliza did that.

Cameron called it "heartbreaking that it happened to her" on his film. "It's important to create a safe avenue for speaking up", he said, so that "anybody who might be a predator or abuser knows that mechanism is there, and there will be consequences".

The director went on to say that there needs to be an awakening across all industries, not just Hollywood and education needs to be improved to hopefully prevent men from participating in this type of damaging behavior. This is not a reckoning for Hollywood or America; this is reckoning for the human race.

"She is painting me out to be a monster which I am not", he continued. "I just don't know what is going through her mind".

"Over the years, I've really struggled as I've wondered how my life might have been different if someone, any one grown-up who witnessed his sick ways, had spoken up before he lured me to that hotel room."

"I know the other party - not well".

Sue Booth-Forbes released her own statement to Deadline, writing, "Eliza Dushku is telling the truth.I was on the True Lies set for three weeks and reported Joel Kramer's inappropriate sexual behaviour towards 12-year-old Eliza to a person in authority".

Hear what she had to say in the video below.

Minors must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian during production, but the woman who said she was serving as Dushku's guardian says that failed to protect the child actress. The actress added that on the way back to her parents, he pulled her onto his lap during a taxi ride, but grew "cold" to her in subsequent encounters. "I don't ever remember being alone with her".

He referenced his long film resume since True Lies and added, "We took care of her like she was our kid".

Kramer said the lies perpetrated by Eliza are incredibly vicious and entirely contrived. "I've never gotten anybody hurt".
