Harvey Weinstein Attacked In Restaurant After Reportedly Refusing Photo

A patron approached Harvey Weinstein at a restaurant that became troublesome for the movie mogul, the unidentified man yelled at Weinstein and slapped him in the face, and that's all captured in a video clip. "You're a f--ing piece of s--".

Steve had reportedly approached Weinstein earlier in the evening to take a photo, but the producer declined. Steve claimed Weinstein was belligerent, but TMZ audio suggests that's not the case.

The man said he "loved Weinstein's movies" and asked for a photo, but the film producer said "no" - probably sensing that it was a fake gesture, considering the nature of the crimes levied against the disgraced film producer.

As both parties got up to leave around 9 p.m., Steve, who confessed he had had "quite a bit to drink", asked his friend to shoot a video of the ensuing confrontation. Weinstein did stumble, but way after he caught the hand to the face so it looked like he tripped more than anything.

Back in October, TMZ reported that Weinstein flew from Los Angeles to Arizona for treatment in an inpatient program. Either way, he's lucky Weinstein opted not to call the police.

Angelina Jolie, Gwyneth Paltrow, Lupita N'yongo and Ashley Judd are among the women to accuse Weinstein of making an unwanted sexual advance when they were young actresses. Weinstein opted not to call the police following the incident.

Weinstein's spokeswoman, Sallie Hofmeister, told the Times in a statement, "Any allegations of non-consensual sex are unequivocally denied by Mr. Weinstein".

Weinstein is now under investigation by New York, Los Angeles, Beverly Hills, and London authorities.
