Now We Know: FBI Ignored Lawbreaking To Exonerate Hillary Clinton

Trump charged on Tuesday that Abedin "put Classified Passwords into the hands of foreign agents". "But for purposes of hopefully thinking I'm going to be treated fairly, I've stayed uninvolved with this particular matter", he said, referring to the Clinton email investigation. Republicans on the committee say McCabe outlined some irregularities that suggest the outcome of the investigation was rigged in Clinton's favor.

The latest barb came when Trump suggested that former secretary of state Hillary Clinton's top aide Huma Abedin should be jailed for reportedly including log-in details for government email accounts in personal emails. During the investigation, the FBI recovered some work emails which had not been turned over to the State Department by Clinton.

During the 2016 election cycle, then-FBI Director Comey was essentially an unofficial Clinton campaign staffer.

In one tweet, Trump targeted Clinton confidante Huma Abedin, Comey and the Justice Department, which has frustrated the chief executive with its investigation of possible ties between the Kremlin and his 2016 presidential campaign.

But Trump's tweet is incorrect. Comey said he did it to cause a special counsel investigation to be created to examine possible collusion between the Trump campaign and Russian Federation. It remains open to interpretation whether the DOJ is acting in accordance with President Donald Trump's recent decision to revisit the Clinton email scandal.

Trump has previously accused Comey of leaking sensitive information after the former director testified that he had asked a friend to pass on notes he had taken of his interactions with Trump to a reporter for the New York Times in hopes of securing a special prosecutor to take over the Russian Federation investigation.

He gave preferential treatment to Mrs. Clinton by refusing to recommend charges against her for her private email scheme after saying there was no proof of criminal intent on Clinton's part, a legal element not actually required by the nation's espionage laws.

Tuesday's outburst by the President also sheds new light into his apparent belief in, or willingness to perpetrate, the idea for political reasons that there is a "deep state" - a secret cabal of government and intelligence officials conspiring against him and his presidency. The FBI had also found classified emails on Anthony Weiner's laptop.

Recently a conservative group called Judicial Watch had filed a Freedom of Information Act lawsuit seeking the release of the emails that were sent and received by Hilary Clinton during her tenure as Secretary of state from February 2009 to January 31, 2013. Comey has said, too, that while the Federal Bureau of Investigation did not find evidence that Clinton's personal email domain was hacked, they would not likely see such evidence, given those who might perpetrate such attacks, and that hostile actors had gained access to the private commercial email accounts of people with whom Clinton was in contact.
