Cameron Diaz is quitting acting, says Selma Blair

While Diaz has never publicly announced her retirement from show business, the fact that she hasn't made a movie in four years certainly supports Blair's statements.

If someone could ever bring Cameron Diaz back to acting, it'll probably be for a BIG film. I would have liked to do a sequel but Cameron's retired from acting.

"We were reminiscing about [The Sweetest Thing]".

However, Diaz or her reps have yet to say "Hey, I'm not acting anymore. She's like 'I'm done.", Blair claimed. It was also the same year she won Worst Actress at the Razzies for her roles in The Other Woman and Sex Tape.

For now, though, it looks like she's happy living her life! So if you were a fan of seeing Diaz and Daniel Day-Lewis in Gangs of NY, you can pretty much forget about ever seeing them together in a film again.

Diaz's career began when she was just 21. Blair was doing an interview when she was asked about a potential sequel for The Sweetest Thing, which is how she dropped the R-bomb. "Guys please, I was making a joke in an interview". She met her rocker boyfriend Benji Madden in 2014 and just seven months into the relationship, the duo got married in 2015 in an intimate ceremony at the actress's Beverly Hills home.

The star has made a number of hugely successful films, including There's Something About Mary, The Mask, The Holiday and the Shrek films. She is choosing instead to focus on her life with husband and musician Benji Madden. She received Golden Globe nominations for her performance in There's Something About Mary and received Supporting Actress nominations for her dramatic turns in Vanilla Sky and Gangs of NY, and in the comically freakish Being John Malkovich.

The insider explained: "She would love more than anything to be a mom".
