Avengers 4 will "bid a fond farewell" to some iconic characters

Avengers 4 will

Currently, there are no plans for a fourth installment in the Thor franchise, but a recent interview in which the actor that plays Thor, Chris Hemsworth, thanks fans for making Avengers: Infinity War a huge success, has some vague wording that some might interpret as Hemsworth sticking around the MCU after Avengers 4. This is obviously reflected in the box office collections, and critical acclaim the movie has been receiving thus far. This includes the entire standard lineup of Marvel Avengers: Infinity War Pop figures, Mystery Minis, plushies, keychains, Dorbz, Vynl, and t-shirts. I could've slept through his first two solo movies, and he was only a bit player in my mind when I watched the first two Avengers films, but with the arc they gave him from Ragnarok into IW they somehow managed to breathe such new life into him that he's suddenly jumped to the top of my list.

It's no secret that there are some big developments in Wakanda during the events of Avengers: Infinity War. I could go on.

Until "Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom" comes out in mid-June, "Avengers" will face little competition in China's cineplexes, and combined with the latter-stage revenue from the rest of the world, that should be enough to help "Avengers: Infinity War" reach a milestone no summer tentpole has ever reached before.

What makes that last line so interesting is that Hemsworth is not a member of the Marvel Studios brass; He is not a producer, a writer, or a director. The movie is a reward and ending to those stories for loyal fans. As long as the character has the powers of the iconic warrior and loyalty to their country, any Black Panther on the big screen will be one to cheer for in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. And from a business perspective, it's a way to get newer audiences to catch up on those movies, through home video and on-demand options, and become newly invested in the MCU, thereby creating newer fans of the upcoming Marvel movies. In the first five days, "Avengers: Infinity War" already acquired VND100 billion ($4.4 million) and was the fastest film to cross this mark in Vietnam.
