Five keys for Sixers to stay alive vs. Celtics

The 76ers are less than 4/1 underdogs to come back and win the series, even though it's something no team in league history has accomplished. But records are meant to be broken, and someone has to be first-right? It's just part of a basketball game.

Their No. 2 seed tells us the Celtics are exactly where they're supposed to be. "TJ!" grew louder each time T.J. McConnell darted through the lane for an easy basket or buried a 3-pointer to build an insurmountable lead Monday night for the Philadelphia 76ers. "I feel like those type of plays boost your energy, and it just takes the game to another level, so I like getting into that type of stuff".

"The obvious is the obvious", Brown said.

A competitive first half saw both teams go through dry spells.

While the young players on Boston's rosters have been huge in Boston's success, Brown said the veteran leadership of Horford has been just as important in helping hold things together throughout the season.

The Sixers outgunned the Miami Heat in their first-round series, but so far against Boston, they've come up empty.

On the 76ers ensuing possession, JJ Redick would knock down a long three to cut Boston's lead to one, 113-112, with three seconds to play.

During the regular season, this would be the point where Brad Stevens would make some sort of halftime adjustment. He chirped at Marcus Morris in the third quarter and Morris flashed a "3-0" with his hands.

Philadelphia fought back, though, going on a 15-7 run to grab a 100-107 lead with 1:08 to play. But he missed two wide-open shots earlier in the fourth quarter that could have given the Sixers some breathing room.

A 10-3 run to start the fourth all but put the nail in the coffin.

Forward Tatum tallied 25 points, guard Jaylen Brown had 24 and Rozier finished with 17 points and six rebounds for the Celtics who are 37-0 when taking a 2-0 lead in a playoff series.

The heroes for Philly include Dario Saric, who went for 27 points, 10 rebounds and four assists, and of course Joel Embiid, who had a double-double with 27 points and 12 rebounds.

Jayson Tatum led the Celtics with 20 points. Boston was unable to finish the job Monday night, and now the Sixers will keep the pressure on with a game 5 win. "We're going to have to find places in this experience, and learn from it, and that's a great example of one of them". The other three conference semifinals series have all concluded in five games or fewer. This is a team that is without their two best players in Kyrie Irving and Gordon Hayward and have now punched their ticket to the Eastern Conference Finals to take on the Cleveland Cavaliers.
