Men Producer Weighs in on the Possibility of a Deadpool/Wolverine Movie

There are so many laughs in this movie you'll miss the next one - they come that fast. "He insists on dancing and singing brilliantly elsewhere", Reynolds joked, referring to his role in "The Greatest Showman" released in December.

Deadpool, of course, helps us along the film's convoluted plot with such postmodern cracks as "Big CGI fight coming up!" or the put-down "That's just lazy writing" or, after a cool sequence, "Tell me they got that in slow motion". The film's marketing has been endlessly entertaining, reviews are strong, and box office projections are good, but that doesn't mean the promotional machine is slowing down just yet. Maybe it's a sly poke at the way we've all been trained now to wait through the credits of superhero movies.

The Wrap concurs, writing that "somewhere in the middle lies Deadpool 2, which never betrays the promise of the first film; it just doesn't build on it, choosing instead to replay the greatest hits".

Deadpool 2 is now screening. I was in the middle of Avengers and I was exhausted, and they said, 'Do you want to do this thing?' And then my wife (Kathryn Boyd) said, 'Why don't you just read it?' And I read it.

What did you think of the pairing of Celine Dion and Deadpool?

The bad boy of the Marvel Universe is back and - gasp - he's even sucking on a cigarette in the opening shot of the new film. However, Leitch manages to shoot the emotional scenes (and yes despite this being a Deadpool film there quite a few) with a real intimacy. He sees the world through the prism of a child's eyes sometimes and that's also why he's tempestuous and obnoxious and misguided so much of the time too. "So I knew he was working off a different footprint than some of the other guys", Reynolds had said in an earlier interview with the LA Times. There is cute and rude conversation going on and David keeps on slamming the door at Deadpool's face, who also brought along several goodies to say sorry.

Colbert: "We get the idea". When his host reminded him to say "allegedly", he acquiesced: "You're right, allegedly; it could have been three prostitutes". (Stuntwoman Joi Harris died while filming Deadpool 2). "He's bigger than me so I for sure let him know we'd be making fun of him a little, but I love him", Reynolds told Us Weekly at the film premiere Monday.
