'Star Wars' spaceship lands at Disney's 'Solo' premiere in Hollywood

Ford crashed the interview alongside Solo director Ron Howard, demonstrating the close ties Ford has to the upcoming film. He exclaimed, "You're kidding me!" as he got up from the chair. But we'll let Ehrenreich take that chance, because without George Lucas around to correct things, who knows when the elder Solo will fire first?

Entertainment Tonight filmed the interview and surprise and posted it to Instagram, which you can watch below.

As the two shook hands and shared a brief hug, onlookers couldn't help but laugh and take in the moment. While promoting his new film, Solo: A Star Wars Story, he's faced questions about his latest music under the Childish Gambino moniker and his personal life.

Game of Thrones and Star Wars are increasingly overlapping these days, with plenty of actors who've appeared in both franchises (including Emilia Clarke, Gwendoline Christie, Max von Sydow, Julian Glover and many more) and Thrones showrunners David Benioff and DB Weiss setting out to make their own Star Wars trilogy in the coming years.

Harrison Ford is making sure no one forgets his legacy as the original Han Solo.

Ehrenreich continued to praise Ford for all of his support, even saying that Ford enjoyed the movie. The meeting happened months after Ehrenreich first scored the role as young Solo - and years after he was first discovered by none other than Steven Spielberg. And today I was doing an interview where they were talking about is there anything else you'd like to ask him?' Ehrenreich said in a press conference Saturday. However, at least according to the premiere crowd, Ehrenreich seemed to do a good job.

Many fans were excited when they found out Atlanta's Donald Glover would play a young Lando Calrissian in Solo: A Star Wars Story.
