President Donald Trump doubled down Saturday on his earlier calls for Russian Federation to re-join the G7.
Trump will meet with Macron and Trudeau face-to-face on Friday.
And according to a report from the Washington Post, it's not something he's particularly looking forward to.
Mr Trump plans to leave the summit mid-morning on Saturday, four hours earlier than originally planned, to fly to Singapore ahead of his historic meeting with North Korean leader Kim Jong-un.
To no one's surprise, Trump tweeted his dissatisfaction on Thursday, calling the whole thing "ironic".
German Chancellor Angela Merkel acknowledged differences between the United States and the six other members of the G7 remained, but said a joint statement on trade was expected to be issued at the end of the two-day summit in La Malbaie, Quebec.
The top Nafta negotiators from the United States and Canada met earlier during the summit, after Trump in the morning complained about what he called the unfair trading practices of his Nafta partners, also including Mexico.

Until recently, Trump had good diplomatic relationships with Macron and Trudeau, but those connections appear to have soured in the past few weeks amid the tariffs controversy.
NERVOUS MARKETS: Trump, who aides said has scant interest in multilateralism, is set to have bilateral meetings with French President Emmanuel Macron and Canada's Trudeau at the summit.
"You know, whether you like it or not - and it may not be politically correct - but we have a world to run", Trump said. I think better for both countries.
"Please tell Prime Minister Trudeau and President Macron that they are charging the USA massive tariffs and create non-monetary barriers", he tweeted.
Mr Trump said on Friday that the U.S. and Canada were working on cutting tariffs "and making it all very fair for both countries". "His preference now, and he asked me to convey this, is to actually negotiate with Mexico and Canada separately", Kudlow said on Fox News on Tuesday.
The G-7 summit took place amid tensions over trade disputes with the European Union, Canada and other nations, as the US looks to impose steel and aluminum tariffs.
Mr Trump's imposition of tariffs on steel and aluminium imports has sparked anger, with even United States allies falling subject to them.
"It is laughable to say that Canada, France can represent a threat to America's national security, as we are the best allies that the U.S. has had for a long time", Trudeau said.
At what a French described as one "extraordinary" session on Friday, leaders who had vowed to confront Trump over his decision to impose tariffs on US allies last week as part of his "America First" agenda, showered Trump with data one after the other.
