'Batwoman' Begins: First Look at Ruby Rose as the CW Superhero

The CW released the first image of the Ruby Rose as Batwoman for the upcoming "Arrowverse" crossover event, and lock us up in Arkham Asylum because we are going insane over Gotham City's newest crime-fighter. The costume was designed by award-winning designer Colleen Atwood who is responsible for several other major costumes in the Arrowverse.

The 2018 Elseworlds crossover event starts with a special episode of The Flash on Sunday, December 9 and continues with Arrow on Monday, December 10. TV released the first look at the new live-action Batwoman coming to the small screen in December.

On Tuesday, Amell took to Twitter to say that the crossover will begin with a not-so-nutritious breakfast for the Green Arrow. The CW is also now developing a series based around the character, whose real name is Kate Kane.

Pulling herself out of a destructive cycle, she chooses to become Batwoman and fight crime. "But don't call her a hero yet - in a city desperate for a savior, Kate must overcome her own demons before embracing the call to be Gotham's symbol of hope". I'm also an emotional wreck. because this is a childhood dream. The character of Kate Kane is a lesbian, and some Twitterers didn't know that Rose was too.

Feast your eyes on TV's baddest LGBT superhero!

But soon, Rose was slammed by trolls who said she was "not gay enough" because she has identified as gender-fluid, and that she was not Jewish (Kane is a Jewish character). Her casting still somehow proved controversial to some viewers, and the backlash caused Rose to leave social media.
