Available for pre-order immediately through OnePlus Official Store on Lazada Malaysia, the first 100 pre-order customers will receive 1-year extended warranty for their new OnePlus 6T. Also lacking is proper waterproof resistance certification, features you'll more than likely find on more expensive flagships. No sign yet of the lovely white variant that OnePlus used for the 6. Something of an evolution of the OnePlus 6, the latest handset features a smaller notch, an in-screen fingerprint reader, and no headphone socket.

The OnePlus 6T will be available starting November 1, and just as the rumors predicted, it'll be sold by T-Mobile. There are always trade-offs to adopting new tech and we discuss whether OnePlus 6T's price is worth those trade-offs.

The biggest update is the in-display fingerprint sensor, which should unlock the phone in 1/3 of a second. The talk of the town, however, will be the large 6.41-inch OLED display that the OnePlus 6T is rocking (up from 6.28 inches on the OnePlus 6).

The new phone also has a larger 3700 mAh battery. OnePlus told us it is moisture-resistant, with the ports secured by rubber, so it should withstand being in a steamy bathroom for a bit - but the company regards IP67 as "a tick in the box that's not necessary".

OnePlus was founded in late 2013 and quickly grew in popularity over the years thanks to the OEM's dedication to high-end specifications, a near stock Android experience with meaningful extra features and little to no restrictions, all while being priced below most other flagships.

Much to the dismay of many, the 6T is the first OnePlus handset to ditch the 3.5mm headphone jack in favour of audio over USB-Type C. The decision was made to squeeze out extra space within the device to accommodate for the FOD module beneath the display.

Carphone Warehouse is also selling the OnePlus 6T on contract or SIM-free, and Amazon or John Lewis will both have the phone available to buy outright. There's a new Smart Boost mode in OxygenOS that improves load times and multitasking performance. Expect the new model to do even better. The company says it's worked hard on the camera software to improve low-light photography and has dubbed the feature Night Mode.

The in-display fingerprint sensor in OnePlus 6T makes it different from other OnePlus devices.

OnePlus 6T comes in three variants, 6GB+128GB, 8GB+128GB and 8GB+256GB.

The dual rear camera setup on the OP6T is similar to the OP6, offering 16MP and 20MP cameras.

The retail price of the OnePlus 6T starts at $549 and will be on sale starting at 5:00PM on October 29, exclusively beginning at the T-Mobile Times Square Signature Store.
