'Red Dead Redemption 2' Earns a Record-Setting $725M Opening Weekend

Released on Friday to critical acclaim, Red Dead Redemption 2's opening weekend eclipses the $640.5m of Avengers: Infinity War, which is the highest-grossing of any film in history.

Previously Rockstar Games has released Grand Theft Auto V, which managed over US$1 billion (NZ$1.527 billion) in three days' worth of sales.

Analyst are ecstatic over the sales of the Red Dead Redemption 2 open-world game, which takes inspiration from old Wild West movies.

Actually, website Rockstar Intel (via PC Gamer) recently discovered certain hidden parameters in Rockstar's companion app for Red Dead Redemption 2, which strongly suggest the game could be hitting the PC in the future. Rockstar plans to launch Red Dead Online in November as a public beta.
