Lori Loughlin Dropped By Hallmark After Alleged Involvement in College Bribery Scam

The Hallmark channel announced Thursday it will no longer work with actress Lori Loughlin - a staple for years on the network - following her alleged involvement in a college admissions scandal. Her daughter, the social media influencer Olivia Jade, lost her Sephora partnership, and now it seems that Loughlin's own contracts are being reassessed.

"We are saddened by the recent allegations surrounding the college admissions allegations", the statement reads. Additionally, she stars in the network's film series Garage Sale Mysteries. The most recent entry in the franchise, Murder in D Minor, premiered last August on the Hallmark Channel. She is also a fan favorite during Hallmark's Christmas movie series.

On Thursday, Hallmark Channel issued a statement distancing itself from Loughlin, who was arrested on Wednesday and charged with multiple iterations of mail fraud. She was later released on a $1 million bond and put up her home for collateral as part of the bond.

When reached by Fox News, a rep for Loughlin said that they "have no information to share". Garage Sale Mystery: Three Little Murders was set to wrap filming on March 21, one week before Loughlin's next scheduled appearance in federal court in Boston on Mar. 29. The series was filming in Canada at the time Loughlin, 54, was indicted.

Then came Tuesday's bombshell government allegation that Loughlin and her husband, fashion designer Mossimo Giannulli, were among more than 30 parents who paid a consultant to ensure their offspring's place in college with bribes and falsified exams. She faces charges of conspiracy to commit mail fraud and honest-services mail fraud, according to a criminal complaint.

He said production on the latest project in that franchise has been halted as a result of an indictment that claims Loughlin paid $500,000 to have her daughters designated as rowing recruits at the University of Southern California - despite the fact that they aren't rowers. Their daughter, YouTube star Olivia Jade, attends USC. She appeared in Los Angeles federal court Tuesday looking visibly exhausted, before posting $250,000 bail and surrendering her passport. Loughlin was arrested in California in Wednesday and appeared in court.
